COVID-19, the true demon of 2020
The pandemic of 2020 had a huge impact on traditional Halloween events and the haunt industry as a whole. With COVID-19 taking down normal day to day activities, a multitude of private and public haunt vendors, creators and laborers suffered major losses to what typically would have been a very profitable year. Although some concessions were made to continue abbreviated events and gatherings, it was not enough to create truly memorable experiences. While many haunted house attractions and DIY haunters did there best to bring their patrons that seasonal “scare factor”, the numbers just didn’t add up. However, those that did maintain operations were instrumental in providing a sense of normalcy for individuals seeking their coveted traditions of Halloween magic. Transworld, the haunt industries most well known and largest Halloween haunt convention provided an outlet for those in need of a true Halloween fix-(https://tii.ai/A98eT) 2021 may still seem a bit uncertain, but I believe adaptations will make it a much better year for fright!
